Jamin Murray

East Campus Jr. High Pastor

Jamin works with youth students at the east campus, manages social media for Calvary Tucson as well as works with Pastor Robert in producing video content called “Hot Topics” on YouTube weekly.

Jamin was born and raised here in Tucson and has been attending Calvary Tucson since 2007 with his family. Having grown up in a Christian home, Jamin committed his life to the Lord at a young age but didn’t fully know what a personal walk with Christ was outside of attending church on a Sunday. “Going to church on Sunday was common for me, but I remember being in my pre-teens and having a strong bitterness towards going to church with my family. Even to the point of trying to get out of it on a weekly basis with some excuse”

When he was 11 years old, Jamin attended a Calvary Chapel Christian camp in the San Bernardino Mountains. At camp, Jamin felt the Lord tugging on his heart like never before. Realizing how much of a sinner he was in need of a savior, he recommitted and re-dedicated his life to the Lord. Once he made that decision in 2012, his attitude towards church changed drastically.

Immediately Jamin got involved with the youth group at the east campus under the leadership of Steve Bernat. He was led to join the worship team and continued to grow in that ministry playing for multiple worship groups and ministries through jr. high and into high school. His love and passion for serving continued to grow and evolve over the years to other areas in ministry.

In 2017 during his junior year of high school, Jamin was beyond thrilled to have started a part-time media internship with Calvary Tucson under Scott Billings.

In 2019 Jamin graduated from Cienega High School and continued in ministry with a dual role as a pastoral intern for youth with a part-time media position.

As of 2020, Jamin is now working full time with youth students at the east campus, managing social media for Calvary Tucson as well as working with Pastor Robert in producing video content called “Hot Topics” on YouTube weekly.

Jamin looks back on his life up to this point and sees all that God has done through a small amount of time. I have been truly blessed to be a part of the work and ministry here at Calvary. God has been really working on me over the years. He’s brought me out of anxiety, depression, addiction, and so much more. God never ceases to reveal himself to me even in the hardest moments of my life. I give all the glory to God for where I am today and I am so incredibly grateful.

I have been truly blessed to be a part of the work and ministry here at Calvary.
