Lisa Antrobus

Lisa Antrobus- Receptionist (West Campus)
Elizabeth Antrobus (Lisa) was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She is married to Jose Antrobus and they have 2 daughters, Amber and Ashley, who both love the Lord. Lisa also has 3 other children, Jamie ,AJ, and Traci, from a previous marriage which ended in 1984. She has a 10 year-old granddaughter, Calista, who also loves Jesus.
Lisa’s family on her father’s side came to know the Lord through tent revivals of the 1970’s that would travel through south Texas. She can remember attending revivals as young as 7 years-old and always wondering what they were really all about. She now sees that God’s plan for her life was already in motion way back then. One Sunday morning after that, a group of young people came to the housing unit where Lisa and her family lived to hold a Bible study. They asked if anyone wanted to give their life to Jesus. Though she doesn’t remember whether or not she did then, she went back to the Bible study every Sunday. One day, the group arrived in a bus to take all the children in the complex to church at The Salvation Army. Lisa and all the other kids loved it! She can’t remember if it was at that young age either that she gave her life to Christ, but she definitely knew God had a hand in her life.
In 1987, Lisa met her husband, a Christian named Jose. They married in 1989. Three years later, Jose received orders to Davis-Monthan AFB. They moved their family of four and one on the way to Tucson…not quite knowing what their future would hold. Once there, a fellow airman invited them to Calvary Tucson and that’s where they’ve been ever since. Lisa finally gave her life to the Lord in 1992 and was baptized later that year!
Jesus Christ has done amazing things in the life of this Texas girl. She grew up in a very dysfunctional home. Her father would drink and abuse Lisa’s mother; he also made a living trafficking drugs to and from Mexico. He attended a rehab clinic where Lisa believes he accepted Christ as his savior. He came home from rehab a different man, husband, and father. He went to be with the Lord in 1987.
