As God desired His people to possess the land of Canaan, so He desires His children to live a a spiritual realm of promise and victory. The students will gain a clearer perspective of how the stories of the Old Testament fit together into one pattern. Students plan, draft, revise, proofread, and publish eight different types of writing: compare-contrast essay, persuasive business letter, personal narrative, book review, imaginative instructions, poetry, dramatic play, and research report. Students acquire a foundational understanding of the roots of contemporary United States struggles and the blossoming of American enterprise from the early 1900s to the present. Math 6/5 simultaneously develops the five basic strands of mathematics: number sense/operations, statistics/probability, algebra, geometry/measurement, and logic. The specific intent of Math 6/5 is the emphasizing the comprehensive study of operations with fractions and decimals. Students strengthen their reading and critical thinking skills as they study classic literature excerpts and character-building stories. Science 5 focuses on man's use of God’s creation and design and studies minerals and rocks, fossils, matter and heat, sound and light, weather, biomes, ecosystems, and the respiratory and circulatory systems.
